Impressed by the quality of the education their three children — Molly (BME ’13), Chuck (SIE ’16) and Trey (CLAS ’17) — have received, they decided to create an endowment in the Engineering School for experiential learning. The form that endowment took — the Jenner Family Award for Technological Entrepreneurship — reflects the intersection of School priorities and their own interests. Three years ago, the Engineering School introduced a technology entrepreneurship concentration as part of its engineering business minor, and Engineering students have won awards — and funding — at such University-wide competitions as the UVA Entrepreneurship Cup and the Galant Challenge.
