Old friend of mine

I offer you a greeting

So much time has passed

Since our last meeting

You seem so very different

I feel out of place

So much else has changed

Yet you still hide your face

Surely you don’t still blame yourself

For that tragedy, long ago

You seem to think that mask of yours

Will allow you to let it go

But I know the truth

Despite all your strife

To hide the fact that your only lover

Took her own life

You think a new identity

Will correct past mistakes?

Then reveal yourself to me and

See the difference that it makes.

Lacking all Sincerity

and Meddling with HostilitY
