concerned that the ease of availability of
these types of pets online has led to more
and more people making impulse purchases
without properly considering their suitability.
We would like to see Governments across the
UK review the breeding trade and keeping of
exotic pets, paying particular attention to the
internet aspect. More must be done to better
protect the welfare of the growing numbers
of exotic pets sold online.”
