It is the beginning of a new season. A season I hope will bring a broader coalition of countries, organizations and individuals together to influence change in our world.

Terrorists groups like Boko Haram and ISIS need to be stopped, but instead, they are growing. We can never forget our 237 girls kidnapped by Boko Haram and the news reporters currently held by ISIS.

We can never forget the thousands of orphans around the world, unable to be adopted, held and loved by their waiting families ‘stuck‘ because of the bureaucracy of politics. Poachers - and the entire financial chain - need to be enlightened on the absurdity of killing our elephants and rhinos for their tusks. Poverty and religious fanaticism are the two most destructive forces in our global society.

Thankfully so, there are a tremendous number of people and organizations doing remarkable work. There is a new generation of thinkers and doers who create sustainable solutions, social programs and employment (see David Batstone - NotForSaleCampaign.org article here).

Dame Sheldrick and her daughter Angela are another great example of pushing back on poaching and of creating solutions. Our elephants and rhinos are in grave danger. See article on page .Watch a wonderful documentary film by Patricia Sims and Michael Clark: 'Return To The Forest'.

Through the Magazine, I have the immense pleasure and privilege of meeting many of those people. Being able to interview them and to share their stories with you fills my heart with joy, pride and hope.

Together, we are creating a new epoch, a world of ’digital activism’. I remain devoted to share all my findings with you. In alignment with this publication, I will soon announce another global platform, one of digital activism.
