Several research studies are currently in progress to analyze the effects of the AMP! program on ninth graders in LAUSD. Recent study findings have shown a three-fold increase (14% to 59%) in the number of students who have been
tested for HIV among those who are sexually active. The feedback from the students and the schools has been overwhelmingly positive and will hopefully have long-term positive effects on these teens as they enter adulthood.
