Recently, the US government sent a huge sign to ivory poachers when they crushed 6 tons of illegal ivory. This is a great step, but it's not enough. Now it's our turn again!
In 2013, 30,000 elephants have died due to illegal poaching and behind every piece of ivory -- every tusk, trinket and souvenir seized right here in the U.S. -- is a dead elephant. Any purchases or sales of ivory fuel the current poaching crisis.
It has to stop.
Please support legislation to crack down on wildlife trafficking and enact a moratorium on ivory trade in the United States.
