MOLLY AND MANGO MATERIALS

A Biodegradable Plastic Made from

Waste Methane Biogas

What if we could make the

Great Pacific Garbage Patch just disappear?

What if plastics didn’t accumulate in our land fills?

What if we could reduce greenhouse gas emissions while replacing up to 30% of the world’s plastics with a

biodegradable substitute?

What if plastic everyday products such as packaging , microbeads used in cosmetics and more, packaging, 3D printing, fishing lures, and agricultural films for crop production were bio-degradable? Meet Dr. Molly Morse, a bio-plastics and bio-composites engineer, who was asked at age 6 what she wanted for her birthday and she replied-“

I see trash on the ground everywhere, and I want somebody to pick it up.” An environmentalist since an early age.

Dr. Morse, along with Dr. Allison Pieja, founded Mango Materials with the mission to transform waste – specifically waste methane greenhouse gases – into ecofriendly, affordable materials while creating a positive environmental impact.
