THE GLOBAL ISSUES
In Port au Prince, Haiti, World Central Kitchen works with Partners in Health at their Zamni Beni orphanage in two ways to eliminate food insecurity through a Sustainable Bakery.
The Boulanjri Beni bakery and its counterpart, Pwason Beni restaurant:
Provide fresh food for the orphanage
Train participants in culinary and food safety
Generate revenue for the orphanage
Offer a greater variety of food
World Central Kitchen looks for sustainable solutions to hunger, and continually expands programming where further needs can be addressed.
