“I think the Museum of Roviano has been a turning point for
our village. The museum is quite big, full of old objects that
evoke the local farmers’ experiences and memories.
According to the villagers, Roviano’s name means
“brambles”. Thus, it means that Roviano used to be covered
with brambles.
The Museum is composed of two floors. I find the second
floor more interesting because it is full of objects used by
women and children. The first floor holds utensils and tools
that belonged to workers; I enjoyed the fact that they only
used wood and metals. Such a museum can teach us
youngsters that our great-grandparents used to make their own
objects by themselves, without anybody’s help.”
