THE BASICS:
ABAI Maintenance of Certification (MOC) is voluntary for physicians with time-unlimited
certificates.
The ABAI Recent Advances Module is available via the ABAI Web Portal
The Practice Assessment/Quality Improvement requirement must be completed through the ABAI
list of approved products.
The Practice Assessment/Quality Improvement modules can involve chart audits and patient
surveys. This requirement needs to be started at least 6-9 months prior to the deadline to ensure
completion.

If ABAI certification is secondary to another ABMS member board, certain aspects of ABAI MOC
are waived. Physicians must submit an attestation form to complete the waiver and receive
reciprocal MOC credit.
