NADL President Jerry Ulaszek, CDT, TE, presented the award to Gregory M. Thayer, CDT, FICOI, and President of Thayer Dental Laboratory, at the Vision 21 Meeting, where the NADL honored the outstanding contributors to dental laboratory technology. The NADL Board of Directors selected Thayer Dental Laboratory for Laboratory Member of 2017 based on its significant contributions to the laboratory community, its leadership and commitment to employee welfare and technical training programs, and its customer service ethic. In accepting this award on behalf of the 53 employees at Thayer Dental Laboratory, Greg Thayer said that he had learned a few things over the past 40 years since the laboratory began to serve the dental profession. “First, at Thayer our average tenure for all of our employees is 16 years and our average tenure for technical staff is over 17 years.
