NCDHM Community Events University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine A charter member of ADA’s annual event, Give Kids a Smile Days at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine took on a safari theme AS K G o w t ’s Pitt ed id v o r p r a e y days this free f o 0 0 ,0 5 1 over $ dental care. this year for its 15 th year of participation. The Student Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry sponsored this two-day event. Murals with lions, tigers, and bears filled the reception area. Children even received safari hats to complement the theme. Services provided included exams, cleanings, fluoride applications, sealants, radiographs, restorations and extractions. Pitt’s Department of Pediatric Dentistry extended a special thanks to the Department of Anesthesiology for offering their expertise and services to two uninsured children so that they could receive their dental care under general anesthesia.
