this year for its 15 th year of participation. The Student Chapter of the
American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry sponsored this two-day event.
Murals with lions, tigers, and bears filled the reception area. Children even
received safari hats to complement the theme. Services provided included
exams, cleanings, fluoride applications, sealants, radiographs, restorations
and extractions. Pitt’s Department of Pediatric Dentistry extended a special
thanks to the Department of Anesthesiology for offering their expertise and
services to two uninsured children so that they could receive their dental
care under general anesthesia.
