Required CE – Act 124 and Act 31
If you were not able to attend any of the in-person courses that were offered in 2018, both CE requirements can be fulfilled online. Visit the
Pennsylvania State Board of Dentistry’s website for a list of approved Act 31 providers at www.dos.pa.gov/dentistry (click on Announcements and
then Board Approved Act 31 Providers). Or, complete the complimentary online course available at www.reportabusepa.pitt.edu. The course is
three hours and the State Board will recognize two of the three hours toward the CE hours needed for license renewal.
The Prescription Drug Monitoring Program Office (PDMP Office) developed a series of 7 modules, each for 1 hour of credit, available at:
https://www.train.org/pa/search?type=course&query=%22PA-PDMP%22.
Modules 3-7 can be used to meet the Act 124 of 2016 opioid education requirements and dentists need to complete two modules.
