Dr. Linda Himmelberger PDA President 2006-2007 My involvement with PDA began very soon after I began my practice. OSHA had come out with some very stringent regulations and I was really annoyed and fired up about the fact that government was imposing these additional regulations on us. I went to a local dental society meeting and I cornered the president of our local and said ‘the PDA and the ADA have to do something about these regulations,’ and he looked me right in the eye and said, ‘you are organized dentistry and if you think something needs to be done, then you need to get involved.’ And I obviously took his words to heart, and have been involved with the PDA and ADA ever since. 34 MA R CH/A P R I L 2018 | P EN N S YLVA N IA D EN TA L J O UR N A L
