Galeone Honored with Master Fellowship
Congratulations to PDA’s Dr. Richard J. Galeone, Pennsylvania Dental
Journal editor emeritus, for receiving the International College of Dentists
Master Fellowship. Dr. Galeone was one of the two 2017 Master Fellow
honorees who received their honors in Atlanta last fall.
Dr. Galeone’s prestigious honor puts him in select company. According
to the ICD website, a section or governing body “may nominate a Fellow
of the College, who has rendered extraordinarily conspicuous and
outstanding service to the College, for Master Fellowship. The Awarding
of Master Fellowship is considered to be a rare distinction which is only
awarded to Active or Life Fellows with the approval of the International
Council or its Executive Committee.”
