PDA Recognition Award – Dr. Thomas P. Sollecito
Dr. Terry:
I am honored to announce that
Dr. Thomas P. Sollecito is the recipient
of the 2018 PDA Recognition Award.
Each year, the Annual Awards Committee
selects a PDA member dentist who has
contributed original research, or whose
significant achievements and high standards
have been of such character as to have
materially aided and advanced the science
and art of dentistry. Dr. Sollecito was selected
for his research in areas including TMD, oral
mucosal diseases, head and neck tumors &
cancer, and HIV dental treatment.
Dr. Thomas P. Sollecito
An educator for 25-years, Dr. Sollecito
has authored five books and authored
or co-authored more than 120 articles,
abstracts and reports. The PDA Annual
Awards Committee agreed with the board
of the Second District Valley Forge Dental
Association that “as a Pennsylvania educator,
Dr. Sollecito’s contributions to the dental
profession have had a huge impact on the
next generation of dental leaders.”
PDA is delighted to name Dr. Sollecito as the
2018 PDA Recognition Award winner.
Dr. Sollecito cannot be here tonight, and I was
honored to present this award to him during
a ceremony at the University of Pennsylvania
on April 4.

Dr. Cynthia Schuler Receives
Pierre Fauchard Award
Dr. Cynthia L. Schuler received the Pierre
Fauchard Award from Dr. Linda K.
Himmelberger at the PDA Business Meeting
on Saturday April 28 at The Hotel Hershey.
