Sisters Emma and Lucille Cousin (Emma - Class of 2013) (Lucille - 2007-13) recently had the opportunity to take part in the MEDlife programme. They travelled to Cusco, Peru with 70 other undergraduates from around the USA. They spent two days exploring the area and working in mobile clinics with other Medlife volunteers. Christy Lightbourn (Class of 2013) took a semester away from the University of Richmond to study at the University of Cape Town, South Africa. This experience also included her visiting five countries in 160 days! Shaunda Blyden (Class of 2008) is a third year medical student at The University of the West Indies at Mona, Jamaica. She is planning to return to The Bahamas in June 2017 to complete the last two years of the programme at the Princess Margaret Hospital and hopes to specialise in Forensic Pathology. Amba Moss (Class of 2010) had the pleasure of meeting The Bahamas’ Minister of Foreign Affairs, The Honourable Fred Mitchell, in Ecuador earlier this year. Amba is spending a semester in Ecuador doing the teaching practise for her Early Childhood Education degree at Kennesaw State University. VISITS TO CAMPUS TEACHERS Congratulations to former teacher Lisa Hauber (2000-08) on her marriage to Bruce Ramsay. Lisa is currently the music teacher at St Joseph School, K-8, in Nelson, BC, Canada and has two children aged 2 and 6. Sarah “Sam” Condron (née Williams) (1981-85) enjoyed a recent trip down memory lane visiting the campus with her husband James and son. Former teachers - we’d love to hear from you too.
