firm Cooper Robertson to create a master plan that would translate our strategic vision into an inspiring and thoughtful blueprint for the future. LCIS will become one school with two physical campuses, separated by less than half a mile. Our design will allow us to retain the intimacy of a neighbourhood school, with close relationships between teachers, students and parents, yet be large enough to support the programmes expected of a premier educational institution. The master plan allows us to support progressive educational opportunities and programmes for our students in the short term, while giving us the flexibility to evolve over time as we continue to provide our students with the best teaching and learning experiences in the region. UPPER SCHOOL This campus will eventually serve up to 350 students in Grades 6-12 and will allow for greater programmatic choice driven by the range of academic opportunities in the IB curriculums. The Upper School’s scope of construction will address the 21st-century learning needs of students and provide a technology-rich environment that includes general classrooms, science labs, a STEAM Makerspace, language labs and dedicated studios for music and art. Students’ experiences will be further enriched by an indoor multipurpose space for assemblies, performing arts and athletics, and custom-built outdoor sporting facilities including tennis courts and a competiton-size pool. Additional facilities include a learning commons, courtyards, green space, dining hall, ample parking and the administrative space required to support students in Grades 6-12. The expansion will serve to immediately alleviate space constraints on the existing campus while allowing for some incremental growth. Future phases will further enhance our ability to fulfil the strategic vision for our students. This vision includes additional state-of-the-art classroom buildings; expanded indoor-outdoor dining hall; a track and field facility that meets international competition standards; additional green space for gathering with an outdoor amphitheater and possible sites for housing students and faculty. @LCISPROJECT @LCISPROJECT 10
