The first familiar situation is:

Alex, a young 10 year old boy gets his weekly pocket money. He gets 5 dollars and on his way back to school sees a department store. He has 2 choices, to spend the money on chocolates or save it for his birthday. Situations like this do not have severe consequences but can make you regret what you decided.

The second unfamiliar situation is:

13 year old Jonah is on his way to his friends house when he sees his friends smoking. He tries to avoid them but one of them tries to convince him by saying he will look 'cool'. It's decisions like this which are important, will Jonah say yes? Potentially fueling a life long addiction or will he say no.

We encounter many decision making moments some of them being familiar and unfamiliar. It's these decisions which effect us.
