THE PROBLEM
Arriva must implement a multi-purpose scaffolding work platform
system that must be HSE/OSHA compliant and allow Arriva’s
personnel to work on top of their railway carriages. Traditional
scaffolding is too heavy and cumbersome, while aluminium towers
do not allow access on to the roof area as they cannot span.

The unique and patented clamp allows the system to be assembled
without the use of tools into any size or shape.
Maintenance crews can attach a handrail around the carriage or
at any point across the roof, from a lower level. This ensures a safe
system is assembled while personnel are not exposed to the risk of a
fall during assembly while using the system for maintenance.
