SOFTWARE & SYSTEMS REAL TIME PLATFORM PERCEPTIVE ENGINEERING ACHIEVING EXCELLENCE, WITH ONE INTEGRATED PLATFORM image © GEA Pharma Systems Through a collaborative partnership, GEA Pharma Systems, Siemens and Perceptive Engineering have developed a comprehensive Real Time Platform for model-based monitoring, controlling and reporting system performance for GEA ConsiGma TM manufacturing equipment. Based on the Siemens SIPAT TM PAT Management System (PMS) and Perceptive’s PharmaMV TM Advanced Process Control platform, the system has been developed to provide: • • • SIPAT integration including calculation engine for Real time Multivariate Calibration Models and data export using SIPAT data miner. Model Development and Maintenance facilities for Calibration, Control and MVA models. Real Time Quality monitoring using Univariate SPC and Multivariate SPC for Continuous Process Verification 118 PECM Issue 33 • • Advanced Process Control solution for precise control of key processing stages (granulation, drying, compression). Comprehensive User-Configurable Dashboards, Key Performance Indicators and reporting PAT Management System SIMATIC SIPAT can be combined with different analytical devices and provides comprehensive functions for the configuration and control of measuring devices. SIMATIC SIPAT collects all device data and controls the performance of the devices. The user benefits from a uniform interface for different analytical devices, for example, through easier training and operation. Data Collection SIPAT can be used in combination with the most popular process analysers in production, in research and development, and in process development. Open industry standards are used for the reliable measurement, collection, and transfer of information and for exchange with third-party systems such as process control systems. SIPAT also considers offline or online quality parameters that are either collected in a laboratory information management system (LIMS), entered manually in the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system, or entered directly in SIPAT. Data from different sources or even from different sites can be consolidated for better evaluation.
