Editor’s Choice Visionscope Technology Karl Storz rigid borescopes are particularly robust and designed for heavy-duty industrial use. With the HOPKINS® rod lens system, they reliably deliver exceptionally clear, sharp and bright images. Borescopes essentially consist of an optical system, mechanics, and a light guide system. The double-wall sheath and the special glass endpiece at the tip render the borescope extremely resistant to damage and wear and ensure optimal protection of the telescope. Special Features: • • • • Pressure resistant up to +5 bar Metal layers to protect the optical system Resistant to oil, fuel & solvents Temperature resistant up to 150’C Tel: 01709 540131. JSP has launched the new Springfit™ fold flat disposable mask with a unique endoskeleton structure which guarantees each mask keeps its shape, increasing performance and maintaining rigidity. This integrated spring feature allows facial movement ensuring the mask offers a secure face fit and seal during speech or movement of the jaw. The pioneering Typhoon™ valve has been designed to reduce breathing resistance, heat and moisture build-up. The valve is unaffected by any moisture, and therefore maintains high performance levels even at very low temperatures (-40°C tested). The new Springfit™ is extremely comfortable with adjustable straps so the mask can be fitted comfortably to all head sizes and shapes. www.jspsafety.com UNISET-C - low-end fixture for optical setting of tools One thing was in particular focus during the development of the new UNISET-C setting fixture from MAPAL: Simple handling for optical setting and measurement in the entry- level segment. The UNISET-C has a compact design, the tool to be measured is easily accessible. The measuring arm with optical measuring camera and dimmable back-light source can be easily adjusted in the horizontal and vertical to the desired position using a handle. A sensor controller integrated into the handle activates the laser in the measuring arm when touched. The laser simplifies quick movement to the desired tool position, as the current camera position is always visible as a red light dot. Fixed tools, in particular, such as solid carbide or PCD tools, can be quickly and easily measured and set using the UNISET-C. The maximum tool diameter is 400 mm, the maximum tool length also 400 mm. www.mapal.com Electromechanical Assembly Services From NSF Controls The Easy Way to Machine Rails and Cable Ducts Reliability Programme Maximizes Gearbox Life Taking the pressure off a fluctuating order flow, manufacturing capacity or engineering resource challenges, NSF Controls provides a range of assembly services and solutions, producing over a million electromechanical assemblies annually from its UK site, exporting to over 30 countries and five continents. Manufacturing switchgear can be very labour intensive. Despite the advances in automation, there is still a huge amount of manual work involved in cutting and machining busbars, support rails and cable ducts. Rittal Automation Systems is now offering new and improved machines and tools that will help automate or part- automate these previously time-consuming activities. The Secarex AC 15 cutting centre is just one example of an innovation by the compa-ny, making otherwise laborious tasks, easier, quicker and more efficient. The number one failure cause in any mechanical application is contamination. Industrial plants have a big investment in their equipment and the lubricants protecting that equipment, so it makes sense to protect these assets. A good lubrication reliability programme is one that prevents contamination, oil foaming, overheating and emulsification – all caused by use of the wrong oil leading to lubricant failure and mechanical wear. Follow these six steps to significantly reduce your maintenance, repair and lubricant costs, and free up your maintenance team to engage in more proactive reliability activities: An experienced team with wide-reaching engineering expertise, NSF Controls adapts to deliver customer-specific market-ready products. Working collaboratively, production is designed to suit the customers’ own manufacturing and product development timescales. The company also supports with design, product development and manufacture. The rail is first is measured on the mounting plate and then cut to the appropriate length. It may also be labelled with a felt-tip to denote a particular enclosure and its position.
