RHEINTACHO GROUP
he RHEINTACHO Group,
headquartered in Freiburg,
Germany has 4 subsidiaries
worldwide; in the UK, the
Czech Republic, France
and China. Each of them is specialized in
something different technically, making
them centers of competence within the
group and for customers as well, enabling
customer and application focus at its best.
T
Most of the R&D and design work is done
in Freiburg, but for special products,
customer applications and customized
product versions, each location carries
some development responsibility. And
that is what makes RHEINTACHO unique
and successful.
RHEINTACHO Messtechnik GmbH in
Germany is responsible for all electronic
devices, such as all different types and
sizes of rotational speed sensors, optical
and digital tachometers as well as
stroboscopes. Every year RHEINTACHO
introduces a number of new sensors and
the latest additions to the sensor portfolio
are sensors which have a higher degree of
functionality. The ABZ sensor, for example,
not only measures rotational speed, but
also can detect direction of rotation and
position. This additional information
opens new dimensions for the customer
in control and recording. The new M8
sensor is another further development of
RHEINTACHO where additional features
are very evident. This rotational speed
sensor also offers temperature detection.

The variety of sensors RHEINTACHO
supplies also include sensors which can
be used in extremely difficult conditions,
requiring protection class IP6K9K. Some
of our sensor families can even withstand
temperatures up to 160 °C. These sensors
enable our customers to have the proven
technology they are accustomed to even
under more difficult conditions.
The RHEINTACHO stroboscopes are
among the world’s brightest and are
highly accepted both as portable or
stationary ones. The product lines include
both Xenon and LED versions, hence
allowing the customer to choose among
a wide variety of stroboscopes to fit any
application.
The newest addition is the RHEINTACHO
RT STROBE pocketLED which is now
available in 4 different versions, standard,
standard with trigger, UV and the newest
member has an auto-sync function, and
is already well received on the portable
stroboscope RT STROBE super qbLED, the
big brother of the RT STROBE pocketLED.
The RHEINTACHO portfolio of
tachometers, the oldest products within
the group, includes optical, digital
and mechanical handheld devices for
measuring rotational speed or axial
length. In addition, there are eddy current
tachometers and tacho-generators which
complement the family.
The mechanical tachometers, eddy
current tachometers and tacho-
generators are manufactured in
England and business has been growing
successfully in the past few years.
Another strength of the English unit is the
ability to repair and service tachometers,
governors and indicators of any age
or source, including instruments from
companies which may no longer exist.
RHEINTACHO - an innovative partner
for diverse applications and customer-
oriented solutions.
