Acsoft establishes
Acoustic
Calibration Laboratory
Reinforcing its position at the forefront of sound
and vibration instrumentation and sensors for
aerospace, defence, automotive and telecommunications, AcSoft 01 3 639550;
www.acsoft.co.uk has established an Acoustic Calibration Laboratory at its new stateof-the-art office in Bedford.
Cirrus Research launch
new App for doseBadge5
Noise monitoring specialists Cirrus Research has
launched a new wireless App to enhance the features of
its latest personal dosimeter, the doseBadge5.
Already boasting a host of new advances, the
doseBadge5 has now enhanced wireless technology to
allow the instrument to communicate remotely with the
doseBadge5 Wand and the dBLink App.
With the first phase of the facility fully operational, the company is now able to offer
on-site calibration of its G.R.A.S measurement microphones and pre-amplifiers, as
well as perform diagnostics and repairs.
The doseBadge5 Wand allows instruments to be started
and stopped without disturbing the wearer and view
measurement information via a mobile phone or IOS or Android controlled device.
AcSoft has appointed acoustics specialist Alejandro Alex Santana to head up the new
calibration laboratory.
If the doseBadge5 is running, the current measurement information can be display,
allowing mid-shift readings to be obtained. If stopped, the doseBadge5, any stored
measurements can still be reviewed.
Paul Rubens, General Manager at AcSoft comments “Calibrating microphones at
regular intervals is a way to safeguard the quality of measurements and eliminate the
costs caused by unreliable equipment.
The dBLink App for Android allows the doseBadge5 units to be configured, measurement
information viewed and measurements started and stopped.

Japanese approval for
intrinsically safe EE300Ex
humidity and temperature
transmitter
The intrinsically safe EE300Ex humidity and
temperature transmitter from E+E Elektronik has
been certified according to TIIS. The device, which already meets the relevant
requirements for Europe and North America ATE , IECEx, FM , may now be
employed in Japan as well. TIIS-certified EE300Ex devices can be obtained from
the Japanese E E sales partner TEKHNE Trading Co., Ltd.
EE300Ex is dedicated for use in potentially explosive environments and can
be installed directly in both gas and dust hazardous areas of zone 0 / 20. The
device accurately measures relative humidity and temperature in the range
from 0 to 100% RH and - 0 to 1 0 C - 0...356 F with pressure rating up to
300 bar (4351 psi). The EE300Ex is also available for moisture measurement in
oil as well as for temperature measurement only.

ProLine P50000 from Knick:
Innovative High-Voltage
Transducers for Railway
Applications
Transducers of the new ProLine P50000 series from
Knick Elektronische Messger te were specially developed for voltage and current
measurement in main and auxiliary power circuits of locomotives and multiple units.
They are used, for example, for short circuit detection as well as for monitoring
of traction motors and inverters, auxiliary inverters and accumulator batteries.
The devices comply with all applicable railway standards and thus meet the high
demands of fire protection HL3 according to EN 55 5016 , electrical safety,
mechanical robustness as well as insensitivity to extreme environmental conditions
and electromagnetic interferences.
Compared to conventional sensors used in railway vehicles, ProLine P50000
transducers stand out due to their calibrated range selection feature and integrated
universal power supply unit. Calibrated range selection allows different input ranges
up to
00 to be selected quickly and flexibly.

Nadcap and CQI-9-compliant
process validation
Fluke Process Instruments will be at the Advanced Engineering exhibition
in Birmingham at booth K11, showcasing temperature measurement
and validation systems such as the new Datapaq TP3 data logger. This
0-channel logger performs temperature uniformity surveys TUS and
system accuracy tests SAT compliant with C I-9 and Nadcap AMS
2750E. Featuring a large memory for 3.6 million data points, it records
detailed temperature profiles with an accuracy of 0.3 C. The channels
can be flexibly specified for different thermocouple types and for up to
four analog sensors. The Datapaq TP3 provides full connectivity options,
including Bluetooth and USB download as well as real-time data transfer
via radio. Users can perform ten consecutive profiling runs before
downloading to a computer via USB or Bluetooth. The manufacturer
also offers an unparalleled range of industry-specific pyrometers,
infrared linescanners, and thermal imagers. Raytek MP150 infrared
linescanners ensure correct thermal treatment and 100% quality control
and documentation of processed parts such as light-weight pillars. They
achieve a superior frequency of up to 150 lines per second and a high
optical resolution of up to 150:1, enabling detailed thermal images from
a longer distance.
