use, the Agilent 490 Micro gas chromatograph offers
fast and precise analysis of on-line and off-line gas
samples anywhere and is available as both portable
and laboratory systems.
The RayTemp 2 is the first in a new series of non-contact
infrared thermometers designed and manufactured here
in the UK by ETI.

The portable configuration can be used for
measurements at natural gas pipelines and metering
stations, field perimeter monitoring and multiple
drilling locations. No flammable gases are used so
the analyser can be used in environments where
operational safety is critical.
Small, lightweight and equipped with rechargeable batteries and built-in gas cylinders,
you can expect eight hours of productive field time. Sampling is through an integral
pump with analysis completed in seconds.

As sensors in a force shunt must be calibrated together
with their system after assembly, the new Adjustment
Assistant from HBM – market leader in the field of test and
measurement – makes this process simple.
Panasonic offers the laser distance sensor HG-C
with a repeatability of 10µm and a response time
of 1.5ms at an unbeatable price. The distance
sensor HG-C opens up many new possibilities for
industrial automation. For example, the sensor
is optimally suited for positioning robot arms,
measuring the position of hoops, checking for the presence of very small objects or
checking for the overlapping of even the thinnest types of material.
Designed to quickly and reliably calibrate sensors together
with the PMX industrial amplifier system from HBM, the
new Adjustment Assistant guides users through the process
with simple menu navigation and step by step instructions,
enabling the adjustment process to be undertaken in seconds.
The new Adjustment Assistant, which can be seamlessly integrated into the PMX web
server to display the measurement data in the browser, can also be used to easily
control calibration of up to four sensors at a time.
The sensor has both digital switching and analogue outputs, enabling integration into
existing applications. The sensor can be used in place of normal switching photoelectric
sensors, or can be used as a measuring device in profiling and measuring the contours
of components.
Measuring the acting forces correctly is key to industrial process control as it is the
only way to increase product quality and reduce overall production costs. The new
Adjustment Assistant from HBM is an intuitive programme designed to conveniently
guide users quickly and easily through the calibration process.
You only need the function keys to configure the sensor and immediately the measured
distance will be displayed in millimetres on the built-in four-digit display. Additional
digital inputs are used to trigger the sensor, to control the laser power, and to perform
zero adjustment.
