For many of us, our lives are so busy with the day to day it’s hard to find inspiration when we are just trying to survive the day. While this is effective in “getting it all done” it does not lead to a daily life full of joy and inspiration. To find true joy every day we must be inspired by something or someone in our life. For me, my inspiration is easily found every day through my daughter who has Muscular Dystrophy. She is a true inspiration and certainly my call to action every day. Jane is my first born child. So I was learning on the job when it came to child rearing. But “Mother’s Instinct” is a real thing despite ones knowledge of facts or experience. When Jane was very little I just had a gut feeling something was wrong with her. She didn’t really crawl and she picked herself up off the floor differently than all the other toddlers, nothing really glaring just a mother’s observations. When I probed and asked questions about her behavior I was dismissed as an overbearing parent, a worrywart, and a first time mom. 4. Stir to action. When Jane was five years old her teacher told us she thought something was wrong with Jane. One other person, that’s all I needed to send me into action. We took Jane to an orthopedist who took blood and ran a few tests. We were told to come back in two weeks. The doctor was vague and didn’t seem concerned therefore neither was I.
