Garden in the Sky ABOVE Peel-up benches under grove in the 10th Avenue Square. RIGHT Creative seating and screening. Adjacent to the amphitheatre, a grove of three-flower maples frames a beautiful view of the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. This provides a shaded spot on which to rest on “peel-up” benches. A trellis of wire-edged in metal, climbing 74 PEACHY vines and wooden benches is another thoughtful use of materials. All are easily found, but they are used in a way that treats the eye to interesting construction and that works as a screen from the surrounding elements.
