The immense combined living and dining room open up to a large terrace that looks onto the United Nations Tower. All in all, a spectacular place to start a new life in the city. After completing the logistics of resizing all the carpeting and having all the treatments remade to fit the new windows, it was time to reinvent and rethink the use of existing furniture that didn’t have a place in their originally designated location. The Robert Kuo bedside chests no longer fit in the bedroom so we placed them on either side of the sofa in the living room. The dining portion of the room begged for a larger and more beefy table and chairs, so we used the former wine room ensemble. Fortunately, the keeping room furniture fit perfectly and it all came from the Charlotte kitchen. The only additions to complete the function of that room were a bookshelf and baskets for toys. 54 PEACHY
