PDA’s Component Resources are available to assist district and local dental societies with a variety of activities, like
social event or CE course promotion and increasing volunteer interest. PDA staff and society leadership work together
to identify membership needs, address areas of improvement and strive toward achieving membership goals.

PDA Presentations
One resource PDA offers for district and local dental societies is a list of presentations for their meetings.
Society leaders can select a presentation from the list and work with PDA staff to schedule it for an upcoming
meeting. Many presentations are free of charge and some offer continuing education credits. Presentation
topics include: Pain & Perception: Reducing nerve injury risks, Hiring and Firing in PA and Membership 101.

In October 2018, PDA staff was invited to a Blair County
Dental Society meeting and presented Membership 101.
This 20-30 minute presentation can easily be added to your
meeting schedule, whether it’s before a CE speaker or during
a dinner meeting. The presentation provides an overview
of membership benefits offered by PDA and ADA. It can be
customized to include district and local benefits, or benefits
that you feel need to be particularly highlighted. Both recent
and long-time Blair County members shared that they
learned new information on benefits and resources during
the presentation.
Program Assistance
Through Program Assistance, society volunteers work with PDA staff to coordinate administrative tasks or email
promotion for social and continuing education programs. There are a variety of assistance options available: mass
email promotion, online registration through PDA’s website, CE course materials and CERP co-sponsorship.
