ADA NATIONAL SIGNING DAY (NSD)
The ADA NSD campaign provides senior dental students
with the opportunity to sign up for ADA/PDA membership
and learn more about how it can help them transition to
life as a new dentist. PDA hosted ADA NSD events for Penn,
Temple, Pitt and LECOM Erie class of 2017.

SPEED MENTORING EVENT

PDA hosted a speed mentoring event in September 2017
for dental students at Temple University and the University
of Pennsylvania. Students were in small groups and
participated in 12 eight-minute mentoring sessions with
PDA member dentists.

CV SUCCESS
In March 2017, PDA’s New Dentist Committee hosted CV
Success for University of Pittsburgh D4s, residents and new
dentists. The program featured a CV presentation and a
panel discussion with experienced dentists from a variety of
practice backgrounds. CV Success followed the University of
Pittsburgh’s ADA National Signing Day lunch event.

D3 LUNCHES
During spring/summer of 2017, the New Dentist Committee
sponsored special lunch programs for the Class of 2018
at Temple, Penn and Pitt. NDC members led a group
discussion with the students about topics such as applying
for residency and life after dental school, as well as shared
details about PDA resources. We welcomed approximately
45-60 students per program.
