KABOOM!!!!!!!!
The bang buster holiday of the Fourth of July is just days away,
so we will probably be hearing KABOOMS of celebration all
over town. Putting the KABOOM to your drives this month
might make you smile as much as those beauties in the sky on
the 4th!
Here are the results of the Partners Better Ball from June.
Congratulations to Bobbi McDonald and Sandy Gilderoy as our
overall champions with a 196!
Flight A winners were Vicki Trillo and Marge Simpson with a
204, and 2nd place went to Melanie Bridges and Jan Dietrich
with a 211. Flight B winners were Linda Hulshof and Nancy
Peterson with a 201, and 2nd place went to Barb Brown and
Roxie Schmit with a 209.
On 5/18 Quail and State Medallion were played.
Quail winner was Marge Simpson!
In Flight A, 1st place was of course Marge Simpson with a score
of 69. 2nd place went to Nora Barlow with a 72. 3rd place had
a tie of 74 for Nancy Peterson and Barb Brown.
In Flight B, 1st place went to Linda Hulshof with a 72, 2nd place
went to Char Mollineaux with a 75, and once again there was a
tie for 3rd place by Dolores Wolfe and Nita Carnine, both shoot-
ing a 79.
On 5/23 we went after the Roadrunner and once again the
State Medallion.
Roadrunner winner was Cindy Wagner!
In Flight A, Cindy Wagner shot a 90 for the win! 2nd place went
to Cheryl Skummer with a 95, and Bobbi McDonald took 3rd
with a 96.
In Flight B, 1st place went to Nora Barlow with a 105, and Jane
Neville took 2nd with a 106.
On 5/25 Criers was the challenge.
In Flight B, Judy Cotterall took 1st with a 66. Nora Barlow took
2nd with a 67, and Lazona Lindner took 3rd with a 68.
In Flight A, 1st place went to Marge Simpson with a 65. A 2nd
place tie went to Bobbi McDonald and Roxie Schmit both shoot-
ing a 70.
On 5/30 we chose to play Pick Any Nine.
In Flight B, 1st place went to Nancy OʼBrien with a 36. Very
close behind was Kathy Manzi with a 37.5 for 2nd place, and
even closer behind was Catherine Forthun with a 38 for 3rd
place.
In Flight A, 1st place went to Marge Simpson with a 31.5. A tie
for 2nd went to Jan Dietrich and Bobbi McDonald both scoring
36.5.
On 6/6 Quail and State Medallion were played.
Quail winner was Marsha Lafayette!
In Flight A, Mel Barnett took 1st with a 73, and there was a tie
for 2nd by Vicki Trillo and Bobbi McDonald, both shooting a
77.
In Flight B, 1st place went to Marsha Lafayette with a 66. 2nd
place went to Jane Neville with a 69, and 3rd place went to Carol
OʼBrien with a 72.
On 6/8 Blind Partners was the game.
1st place went to Barbara Brown and Lazona Lindner with a
143. 2nd went to Sue Hale and Betty Pasek with a 147, and
close behind in 3rd were Melanie Bridges and Sandy Mitchell
with a 148.
On 6/13 Roadrunner and State Medallion were played.
Roadrunner winner was Ellie Tanzer!
Flight B 1st place was a tie with a score of 104 by OʼBrien and
Jane Neville. 3rd place was also a tie with a score of 110 by Sue
Hale and DoloresWolfe.
Flight A, 1st place was Bobbi McDonald with a 91. Ellie Tanzer
took 2nd with a 92, and Barbara Brown came in 3rd with a 94.
During play on this day, a request was made to announce a birdie
on #9! This was accomplished by Marsha Lafayette! We are
happy to share the joy! And, I bet there was a KABOOM on
her drive, a KABOOM on her fairway shot, a KABOOM on her
approach, and a sweet swoosh for the birdie putt!!!
