YLS Sidebar Series with Justice Luck
On June 24, 2019 Florida Supreme Court Justice Robert J. Luck joined YLS members for a moderated conversation to discuss: His background
and path through the judiciary; Circuit Court Tips (including war stories from his time as a practitioner and Circuit Judge, general Do's and
Don'ts, how his view of the law shifted after taking the bench, and professionalism); and Appellate Tips (including preparing for success at oral
argument, what makes a persuasive brief, formatting tips, steps for young lawyers to gain appellate experience, and significant law changing
opinions).

Nominating Commission.
Cohen of West Palm Beach
is an attorney with Legal
Aid Society of Palm Beach
County. Cohen is appointed
from a list of nominees
submitted by The Florida Bar
for a term ending July 1, 2023.
PBCBA YLS member, Santo DiGangi being sworn in as the
Florida Bar YLD President. We’re proud of him as well as
our other YLS members, Leslie Arsenault Metz, Masimba
Mutamba, Stephanie Cagney and Sam Cohen who were all
being sworn in as YLD board of governor members. Also
being sworn in as Florida Board of Governors, were members,
Sia Baker Barnes, Ron Ponzoli, Gary Lesser and Robin Bresky.
PBCBA YLS member, Jen Lipinski, was presented with a
Certificate of Recognition at the American Association for
Justice Annual Convention in San Diego and will chair the
organization’s New Lawyers Division for 2019-20.
