BOARD OF DIRECTORS E l e c t i o n Julie Pagni Firm/Employer: Rubenstein Law Law School: Levin College of Law, University of Florida Year admitted to practice: 2014 Year joined PBCBA: 2017 After serving on the Professionalism Committee and the Solo Small Firm Committee of the PBCBA, I ask for the votes of members in order to serve on the Board of Directors for the Palm Beach County Bar Association, as a Director. I believe in being involved in my legal community to facilitate programs and topics most relevant and of interest to fellow practitioners, to promote goals of professionalism, ethics, and civility within the profession, and to contribute to charitable services. The greatest way to have an impact on these areas is to serve as a director, with a direct influence and a suggestive voice in decision making. I am currently a practicing trial attorney in Palm Beach County. My experience outside of court, includes holding many officer and director positions in FAWL UF Chapter, UF Student Government, UF Conduct Committee, Golden Key International Honor Society, volunteering for Guardian ad Litem program, and more. As well as serving on two committees for the PBCBA. My previous participation in organizations and leadership roles provides the experience and ability necessary to identify needs, propose change, implement decisions, and accomplish tasks, all skills utilized in a director position. I would like the opportunity to put my efficiency and abilities forward and continue to further the distinguished reputation of the Palm Beach County Bar Association and the members within. Jack Rice Firm/Employer: Nason, Yeager, Gerson, Harris & Fumero, P.A. Law School: Florida Coastal School of Law Year admitted to practice: 2012 Year joined PBCBA: 2010 I contribute a working knowledge of our community and the members of our profession from the viewpoint of a young attorney that was born and raised in Palm Beach County. I want to work with the Board to increase the value of membership in our Bar Association and give back to an organization of incredible individuals that has given so much to me. I began my involvement in the Bar before graduating from law school, participating in the Committee For Diversity & Inclusion’s Diversity Internship Program. This valuable experience lead me to become active in the Bar following graduation, when I began practice at Legal Aid Society. Since then, I’ve been involved in various committees, including CDI, the Professionalism Committee, the Environmental & Land Use Committee, and the Young Lawyers Section. As a member of the Professionalism Committee, I authored a section of the Bar’s webpage that provides resources for new attorneys and assisted with developing the New Attorney Breakfast. I’m deeply involved with the Young Lawyers Section, and have the honor of serving as its current president. As a member of YLS, I started the annual 5k run/walk to encourage health and wellness amongst our members and the Past Presidents Reception to celebrate our Past Presidents and strengthen bonds between current and former members. Other sections and the Bar itself have taken up this idea. I’ve been fortunate to work in public and private practice at small and medium firms and currently work at Nason, Yeager, Gerson, Harris & Fumero, P.A., where I practice in the areas of governmental, land use/zoning, and litigation.
