Lisa Fontanesi —

Los Angeles Program Director

PASSION would like to recognize Lisa Fontanesi Program Director for Careers through Culinary Arts Program (C-CAP), a non-profit, for her selfless commitment to helping 25 High Schools with Culinary / Hospitality Programs throughout LA and Ventura County touching more than 3,200 students.

Careers through Culinary Arts Program (C-CAP) is a national non-profit that transforms lives of at-risk students through the culinary arts. Since its inception in 1990, C-CAP has awarded over $50 million in scholarships through the largest independent culinary scholarship program in the U.S., and classrooms have received nearly $5 million worth of supplies and equipment. Many C-CAP alumni, now graduates of top culinary colleges, are working in leading restaurants and hotels throughout the country.

Over the last few years Lisa has built and incredible partnership with the Jonathan Club beach and town club locations and the team led by Matthew Allnatt GM and Chef Jason McClain.

Lisa has developed a special relationship with the Jonathan Town Club which has graciously hosted many wonderful events benefitting

C-CAP including the annual Awards

Breakfast where C-CAP awarded more then $1,300,000.00 in scholarships over the last 2 years, field trips to the roof top garden and beach club and luncheons for our C-CAP students. Most recently the Jonathan club graciously hosted the most wonderful private chefs dinner for 18 of our top supporters in the chef’s private wine room.

Chef Jason has attended competition practices and worked hands on with the kids and judged final completion for the past few years. Chef and Matthew were our key note speakers at the 2015-16 Awards Breakfast.

Thank you Lisa for your selfless efforts and for helping so many kids.
