Prior to The Oaks Club, Pampinella was the Executive Chef of Interlachen Country Club and has worked at John's Island Club and The Highlands Country Club.

Pampinella is an active member of the American Culinary Federation and has worked and trained with the U.S. Culinary Olympic Team. He has also won multiple medals at the National Restaurant Association's culinary competitions held annually in Chicago.

Pampinella has mentored numerous chef apprentices and was an instructor in ice carving at Le Cordon Blue Culinary College of Culinary Arts in Orlando.

Chef James's philosophy is passion driven, and execution is how you deliver the passion. Chef James approaches a club membership on a one on one basis, every member has a personalized need. First you must gain their trust by being consistent and approachable.

It's easier for someone to be a trouble shooter then a problem solver by being proactive with your membership. This not only applies with your membership but with your team as well.

James spearheaded a Club Garden and recently collaborated with the wellness center team to create a 21 day detox program with chef weekly features of menu items for the detox program. Along with free standing menus for wellness features, vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options Chef James is intimately involved with Farm to Table, Kids Culinary Camp, Tours of Organic Poultry Farms, Member Healthy Cooking Classes to name a few.

James explains “After battling my parents cancer for over 10 years, and losing the battle, it was a no-brainer to become an advocate in living and teaching a healthier lifestyle.”

This would explain why Chef James is compelled and driven to meet with every one of the members one-on-one to better understand the members interests, allergies and most importantly their relationship with food.

James adds, “As a chef of a member owned club it is my responsibility to encourage and support wellness for the membership and our team members. It sadness me that many chef's in the industry feel this is a burden and not an opportunity.”

James personal journey and his passion to selflessly help others achieve their own personal greatness is both inspiring and humbling. Congratulations on receiving the Most Influential Award.
