Not surprisingly , the announcement that Grosvenor House , Croydon will be Optivo ’ s Head office has raised a number of questions among our Viridian colleagues . We understand colleagues ’ concerns and we will work to mitigate them where we can , but I should emphasise that the decision makes perfect sense both from a geographical and a business perspective .
Neal Ackcral ( Designate Director of Property ) and his team worked hard to find a “ third option ” Head Office .
By using all of our colleagues ’ post codes they triangulated the optimum location : West Norwood in the London Borough of Lambeth . The second best option was Clapham South , in Lambeth !
Recalibrating the search to include the transport hubs for these two areas threw up Clapham Junction , Balham , Brixton and Croydon stations .
Then we applied the mobile working and hot desking principles adopted at Colwell House and calculated we needed an office with an approximate floor area of 35,000 square feet .
