And then there was five. Over the past few years, the
Sweet Charity and Bachelorettes has put six chari-
ties in competition to raise the most money in eight
weeks. This year, we have moved it back down to five,
with two new ones added to the mix, the Children’s
Advocacy Center of Parker County and Parker Paws.
Children’s Advocacy Center of Parker County was created to end the
cycle of abuse by giving the children of Parker County a voice. The
center coordinates between Child Protective Services, law enforcement,
and prosecution, in the investigation of child abuse cases by providing
forensic interviews, therapeutic recovery services for the victim and their
