This is not unbiased , I ’ ll tell you this . I simply adore Joe Bob Plumlee , for several reasons , mostly because he ’ s my easy answer when I get one of “ those ” calls . My phone rings a lot during odd hours ( between 10 P . M . and 4 A . M .). Usually the calls come from the parents of “ good kids ,” ranging in age from 17 to 50 . They all start out the same way , Mom or Dad saying , “ I ’ m sorry to call so late , but … .” Then , they explain that their son or daughter has just been arrested for something , usually a DWI , or Possession of Marijuana , or Shoplifting , or maybe Possession of a Controlled Substance . Parents want to know what attorney I ’ d recommend , someone they can call to get their arrested offspring “ sprung ,” from jail . Of course they all want their kids out of jail and out of trouble .
