It’s 100 degrees in the shade, we’re
all striving to stave off heat stroke,
people are golfing at 3:00 a.m. so
they can play 18 holes before the
thermostat climbs into triple digits.
What does it all mean? It’s autumn
in Parker County — time to shop
for fall fashions.
In Parker County, autumn doesn’t
mean stocking up on tweeds, cable
knit sweaters and Cashmere wraps
(although you have to have a few of
those pieces for that three weeks of
bitter cold and winter we have here
just about every year at Stock Show
time).
Miss Parker County, Amy Garcia
slips into fall with fashions with
items from Teskey’s SADDLE
SHOP and BOUTIQUE that include
a Middy sleeveless dress, of a
cotton blend in black, white and red,
with classic Western yoke, belted
with a classic leather Western belt
that adds an autumn feel and
coordinates perfectly with her black
skinny jeans and red leather fringed
bootlets. Trading in her pearl pink
lip-gloss for lip paint, the color of
cherry wine combined with silver
bangles, dangling double hooped
earrings and a soft leather fringed
satchel complete the look. A supple
suede black bolero jacket should
be kept close, for times when the
thermometer plunges down past the
58-degree mark.
