The Return of the Horse, or The Coming of the God-dog — Part 1 of 2

We have a kind of horse culture here in Parker County. Many in the county
derive their livelihoods from equestrian activities and many more find pleasure in recreational use of the horse. Of course in a time when civilization is
inextricably tied to motorized transportation and mechanized production the
term “horse culture” does not mean the same thing as in other times and places
when a people’s adoption of the horse revolutionized their world.
