Dr. Olusegun Oseni has been in the medical practice
for over 17 years, earning his medical degree at the
University of Ilorin College of Medicine in Nigeria. He
came to the United States for his postgraduate training,
eventually putting down roots in Parker County because
of the need he saw in the area for his specialty, pulmo-
nary and sleep medicine. His reason for becoming a
doctor is a simple one –his passion to help people and
impact their lives.
“I want to be able to get down to the roots of patient’s
medical problems and come up with permanent solu-
tions,” Dr. Oseni said. “My focus is to improve patient’s
overall well being and quality of life. I continue to apply
the knowledge of functional and integrative medicine to
patient care.”
Dr. Oseni completed his internal medicine resi-
dency and fellowship in pulmonary and sleep medicine
at Harlem Hospital Center, affiliated with Columbia
Presbyterian in New York City. Afterwards, he completed
his fellowship in critical care medicine at Montefiore
Medical Center, affiliated with Albert Einstein College of
Medicine. He is board-certified in all of his specialties.
He’s also involved in numerous organizations including
the American College of Chest Physicians, the Society of
Critical Care Medicine, American Medical Association,
American Lung Association, and a diplomat of the
American Board of Sleep Medicine.
Even with all of his accomplishments, his proudest
moment was a breakthrough in patient care.
“I took care of a patient in the ICU that had almost
zero chance of surviving. Not only did the patient survive
but also came back to the practice, walked in to say
