Stark Reality of a Successful Family Business Mother-and-daughter team work side by side to create a real estate legacy BY MEL W RHODES A Photo by Steve Schillio ledo resident Tara Stark and her daughter, Lauren Glass of Weatherford, work together daily, and they wouldn’t have it any other way.  Successful business teams often share a common denominator — a balance between the talent and abil- ity of the individual team members, a beautifully-matched “yin” and “yang”. Stark, owner and founder of Tara Stark Real Estate Group, and Glass, the company’s director of operations, are just such a team. After following in her dad’s foot- steps with 25 years in the cutting horse arena, Stark took her tenacity from competition into the world of real estate. “In 2004, I knew it was time to build a secure future for my daughter and me,” Stark said. “It was important to demonstrate that each of us has the ability to create the future we want, by committing to personal growth and good old-fashioned grit.” In just two years, Stark became the No. 1 listing agent in the larg- est realty office in the “Westerplex,” working with Keller Williams Realty. In 2015, Stark and Glass founded Tara Stark Real Estate Group, and tributes much of their success to their unique partnership. “We’re very fortunate because we have such a great relationship,” Stark said. “I could not be where I am without her. 7
