AW: A day spent with family and friends cooking out or spending the day outside riding horses.  PCT: What is the coolest thing you have ever done? AW: Coolest thing I have ever done is either helping with a wellness exam on a male lion or working to train primates for medical exams at the zoo (my favorite being the friend- ship I gained while working with a young Bonobo named Andy). PCT: What is your greatest accom- plishment? AW: Getting my bachelor’s degree.  PCT: What are the best words of wisdom to live by? AW: “Don’t sweat the small stuff” — something my dad said to me all the time growing up. Rick Crosley Rick is a patrol sergeant for the Parker County Sherriff’s Office 62 across a DWI or burglaries. PCT: What is your favorite novel? RC: I have read all of the Game of Thrones books and easily more than 60 Star Wars books. PCT: What do you do to decompress? RC: Watch baseball. I also have a motorcycle that I ride a lot. It can be relaxing, until a deer runs out in front of me. PCT: What is something people don’t know about you? RC: I’m a nerd, but I’m an athletic nerd. PCT: What would you most like to be remembered for? RC: My sense of humor. It’s dry, but people can still understand me. PCT: What is the coolest thing you have done in your life? RC: That’s too hard to narrow down. I feel like I have accomplished a lot in my life, and I get to go to a job that is always interesting. Adam Feriend Adam is the Owner and Chief Operating Officers of JRJ Construction PCT: What’s your favorite way to pay it forward? RC: Taking care of as many people as possible, so that when the karma train comes back around, it’s slow enough that I see it coming. PCT: If you could have lunch with anyone, living or dead in history, who would be? RC: My living person is definitely George W. Bush. He’s an outstanding character and I think he would make lunch interesting. My not so living subjects would have to be Winston Churchill, Teddy Roosevelt, Nicolas Tesla, and Lizzie Borden. PCT: If you had to do another job than what you’re doing, what would you do? RC: I would like to have been a Major League Baseball player, if that didn’t work out, maybe the grounds keeper for Wrigley field. I don’t think shark wrestler is a job, but I would like to give it a go. PCT: What is your definition of the best day every? Parker County Today: How did you get into your occupation? RC: I got into law enforcement through working security. I checked doors and responded to alarms for businesses and occasionally ran PCT: What’s the best piece of advice you would give? RC: If it’s wrong, it probably is, don’t do it. Make good decisions. Drink milk, don’t run with scissors. And enjoy this life, you only get one. RC: Having a good get together with people that I love to be around, eating good food, and listening to music that I love. And seeing my dog, Bird, chase a softball. Parker County Today: How did you get into your occupation? AF: My mother-in-law, one of the founders of JRJ, was ready to begin phasing into retirement, and I told them if my skill set could ever help their business, I would be willing to help however I could. They asked, and the rest is history. PCT: What is your favorite novel? AF: The Lord of the Rings Trilogy by J.R.R. Tolkien PCT: What do you do to decompress?
