JP: I have four children, three boys and one girl, with one grandson. The coolest thing I ever did was drive an Indy car. My sweet wife got it for me for Father’s Day one year. I was the fastest out of 36 drivers and topped the car out at 150 mph. Obviously, it’s quite addicting and I wanted to keep going after that. Kindra Lucia have been so blessed by my family, friends, coaches, teachers and others and just want to be a giver.  PCT: What’s your favorite way to pay it forward?  KL: I enjoy donating my time to different events and causes in the community, and if someone needs something, I will do all I can to help them out.  Kindra does business develop- PCT: If you could have lunch with ment for Alamo Title Company.  anyone, living or dead in history, who would it be?  KL: Barbara Bush. She was such an amazing wife, mother and first lady, and I would just love some motherly advice from her.  PCT: If you had to do another job other than what you’re doing, what would you do?  KL: I would love to work with special needs children. I adore children in general, but there is a special place in my heart for special needs chil- dren.  Parker County Today: How did you get into your occupation?  Kindra Lucia: My daughter had recently lost her father, and I wasn’t looking, but had prayed for some- thing that would allow for more time with my daughter. I received a phone call from a friend with an offer I couldn’t refuse. I discussed the offer with another friend and she said, “NO … you need to talk to Michelle Worthington.” I reached out to Michelle and here I am today in a new industry with a team that I love.  28 PCT: What do you do to decompress? KL: I enjoy being outside, walking, running or hiking.  PCT: What is something people don’t know about you?  KL: I am very laid-back and just roll with things.  PCT: What would you most like to be remembered for?  KL: Giving. I love to give back. I PCT: What is your definition of the best day ever?  KL: Being with my family. I love being with my children, my family and my extended family.  PCT: What’s the best piece of advice you would give?  KL: To do the best you can and never give up. I always say, “It is what it is and the only person I can control is myself.” PCT: What is the coolest thing you have done in your life?  KL: Motherhood. I love being a mom, and the love I have for my four children and three grandbabies is overwhelming. Coolest and greatest accomplishment ever! Staci Markwardt Staci is the Director of Marketing and Events for the East Parker County Chamber of Commerce  Parker County Today: How did you get into your occupation?  Staci Markwardt: I have always enjoyed being creative, and after I graduated from Texas A&M with my business degree, I knew marketing and business development was the perfect career for me. So, for nearly 25 years, I have held local and global positions in profit and nonprofit orga- nizations and most recently moved into the role of Director of Marketing and Events for the East Parker County Chamber of Commerce.   PCT: What is your favorite novel?   SM: I enjoy reading, so it is hard to choose just one. I guess it would be “The Help,” by Kathrynn Stockett. Or maybe it would be “Little Women,” by Louisa Alcott. Or even “Pride and Prejudice,” by Jane Austen.  PCT: What do you do to decompress?  SM:   Of course I like to spend time with my family, but if I am really stressed and need time away, I love to take long walks and enjoy nature.    PCT: What is something people don’t know about you?   SM: I served as official ambassador to the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta. It was an experience of a lifetime. PCT: What would you most like to be remembered for?    SM: I want to be remembered for having a servant’s heart.  PCT: What’s your favorite way to pay it forward?   SM: I love to serve and help others.
