She’s definitely different from me — she’s everything I’m not. We complement each other extremely well and are in alignment with our goals and standards.” Glass graduated Texas A&M in 2014 with a degree in geology, work in the oil and gas industry. When that market collapsed, she followed her mom into real estate. Glass is now utilizing her background, which comes in handy more often than she ever imagined in the estate firm. Beginning as “an assistant of sorts,” with the compa- ny Glass quickly earned a leadership position. According to Stark, her daughter has become “like my right hand. She knows me, I couldn’t have trained someone to have the insight and feel for me that she does.” Glass now over- sees the operations of their eight-person real estate team. Asked how she felt about working alongside her mother, Glass said, “It’s awesome, because my mom is my best friend … A lot of people ask us how do we work with each other every day, how does that not make you crazy? We just have a really good relationship. She is absolutely incredible, one of the most inspiring people I know. A lot of people hear her story and know she’s an inspiration, but to really see behind the scenes and know the hard work she puts into every single thing she does is really cool. Growing up … when asked what I want to be when I grow up, I say, ‘I want to be like her!’” Stark said their business is all about legacy. “Once Lauren decided on the real estate industry, and joined me in building the team, it’s been just glorious. She has the vision for what [the company] could look like, and we talk about how do we create a business that is relevant, not only in 5 or 10 years, but 200 years from now. We see what we are creating as something that is a legacy for more than just family. Your true legacy is about how you make people feel, how you touch their souls and the impact you have on their lives.” This past year, Stark expanded her business and opened an office on the Weatherford’s historic downtown square. Some came about because of neces- sity, but the Hobson family is in it for the long haul and, most importantly, together. Most people are familiar with the Comfort Experts brand, and many know about the Perfect Technician Academy. But those are only two of the more than seven busi- nesses that are run by the Hobsons’ patriarch Philip Hobson, matriarch Linda, and their four children — brothers Brett, Brian and Greg and sister Cindy. Mix in a couple of nieces, a nephew and one daughter- in-law and you have the makings of a successful family business that has spanned over 55 years.   It began with Philip Hobson and Air Conditioning, Motor, Brett Hobson signing at the Penagon
