MM: My best day ever would be having my rescue dog do whatever I asked her to do without giving me that look. You know the one… with her head back, eyes wide open and an expression that says “I did that yesterday.” people live their life as it happens and some of us make life happen. After all, it is your life experiences that create the person you are to become. My mom was really smart to make me wait until I was an adult to go outside and play. PCT: What is the best piece of advice you would give? MM: My best piece of advice is to memorize this quote: “Whatever the mind can conceive and believe it can achieve.” Great success will follow. MM: How do you decide which is the coolest thing you have ever done when you love heart pound- ing, adrenalin pumping adventures like white water kayaking class five rapids, kayaking through the San Juan Islands while the whales are migrat- ing to Alaska, climbing the Andes Mountains in Bolivia, bicycling 80 miles a day across China, skydiving, bungee jumping, parasailing, hot air ballooning, zip-lining and glider flying. What can I say except some Parker County Today: How did you get into your occupation? MM: About 21 years ago I was work- ing for a commercial roofing compa- ny, traveling all over the US bidding/ selling roofing jobs. I was fascinated with the roofing, but hated the travel- ing. I knew there had to be something better for me. One afternoon I was sitting in a dove field visiting with a good friend. He knew how discour- aged I was with my current profes- sion. He mentioned that I should get into real estate and he had the perfect broker I needed to visit with. He said you grew up ranching and you can sell, so it should be a perfect fit! With his advice, along with many others, I decided to take the leap. I have been blessed ever since then.  PCT: What is your favorite novel? MM: Being dyslexic, reading big novels hasn’t always been top prior- ity; however, my favorite audio book is The Big Rich.   PCT: What do you do to decompress? MM: Put my phone away and go outside and take some big breaths of fresh air. I tend to do this numerous times a day…  PCT: What is something people don’t know about you? MM: I take things very personable. If I have upset someone for some reason, I will do my very best to make things right. MM: I try and look for the best in everyone. Throughout my 41 years, I have been friends with folks all across the board. I really believe folks will say that I was never too good for them. I treated them like they were family.  PCT: What’s your favorite way to pay it forward? MM: God has blessed me tremen- dously in real estate. I try to constant- ly give back to the community in different ways.  PCT: If you could have lunch with anyone, who would it be?
