our pets: POSH PUPS Makeovers Save Lives BY MISTY BROWNING Unwanted Pups Go From Ratty To Snazzy— Adoption Soon Follows 78 I t’s not every day that the Weatherford/Parker County Animal Shelter gets a call to seize numerous dogs from a single household; so when the shelter received a call on Aug. 14 informing them that 22 to 25 cocker spaniels needed the shelter’s attention, they immediately went into action.  “We had a call come in from a pretty bad situation,” said Ashley Woolnough, WPCAS shelter manager. “There was an elderly lady who was dying in the hospital who had 25 animals that were coming to the shelter.”  The animals consisted of 23 cocker spaniels ranging in age from 1 to 12, and two shepherd-mix dogs. When the
