Weatherford, TX 76087 817-594-5880 of treatment also varies widely. A simple cancer treatment can cost a minimum of $4,000 up to $6,000, depending on the type and severity of treatment. Early detection is important for a positive outcome. Look for any lumps as you routinely groom or pet your dog. If you notice any changes or notice any of the above symptoms have them checked out by your family veterinarian. If it’s an option, there are boardcertified veterinary oncologists who can give you more information about your treatment options. We recommend a twice-yearly checkup for dogs past the puppy year to age six. After age seven, you can expect to see your vet as many as three times a year to have your dog’s teeth cleaned, have any concerns adressed as well as vaccines and preventative care. These routine visits are the best way to catch anything that might be wrong with your dog early. ____________________________ Dr. Ryan Cate purchased Riverstone Veterinary Hospital in January of 2013 and Grote Veterinary Clinic earlier this year.
