could to save him, but in the end they
couldn’t stand to see him in pain any
longer.
At about seven months old, Cain
is a healthy, new addition, but it
wasn’t that way for a while. Brandon
had originally planned to give him to
Michele’s parents as a gift because
most of their pets had died. However,
about a week after he was adopted,
Cain became extremely sick.
“They thought he had distemper,
then it wasn’t distemper, but long
story short, we had to get a nebulizer
and medicine,” Brandon said, adding
that Cain is now healthy once more.
Cain’s luck had just begun when
he was pulled out of the drain culvert.
Now, four months later, Cain enjoys
running around with his fur siblings,
a Miniature Pincher Chihuahua mix
named Daisy and a Pit Bull named
Sage. His favorite thing to do is greet
his family when they walk in the
door by jumping completely off the
floor and into their arms. The couple
is overjoyed with their pet and they
continue to cherish him every day.
