Grateful for the “Difference Makers” of
Parker County
By Maureen Griffin, Tara Stark Real Estate Group - Keller Williams Realty
November is a month of Thanksgiving. A time we spend reflect-
ing and giving praise for what we are grateful for. We at the Tara
Stark Real Estate Group want to express our gratitude for the
many “Difference Makers” we’ve had the opportunity to work and
serve with during 2018. The people of Parker County, from public
servants to corporate partners and community volunteers, have all
impacted our clients and team. Below we recognize some of the
2018 “Difference Makers” of Parker County.
Public Service – a Commitment of Self-Sacrifice
80
Parker County is protected
by some of the best in Texas,
let’s start with the Parker
County Sheriff Larry Fowler
and his team. Not only do they
protect and serve us daily, but
their commitment to commu-
nity service is unwavering.
The Sheriff’s Posse has been
“preserving western traditions
of Parker County since 1947”
and their numerous events,
including parades, special
appearances and their infamous
“Frontier Days Rodeo” benefit many local youth and benevolence
programs. Thank you to Sheriff Fowler, his team and the Sheriff’s
Posse for all you do for Parker County.
Local police departments of Parker County keep our communi-
ties safe by developing relationships with citizens and responding
to emergency needs at a moment’s notice. Every day they choose
to put on a shield of service that places others before them-
selves. Thank you to all the law enforcement agencies, cities and
municipalities, of
Parker County – you
certainly make a
difference.
When we turn
on the faucet and
the water runs for
us to use without
giving it a thought,
when we turn on
the TV to watch
with our families,
or enjoy a stroll through the parks and recreation areas, we have
been blessed by the public servants who make those amenities
possible every day. We may take them for granted when we turn
on a light, but we are grateful for and recognize all the public
service employees who make life in Parker County a joy to live.
Great Schools Make Great Communities
For those of us with school age children, we’re certain those
kiddos are excited about the upcoming holi-
day breaks! When that last bell rings before
Thanksgiving break, kids will rush to their buses,
to the car pickup line or start their walk home
ready to enjoy their time off. And right after those
students head home, we want to wish our educa-
tors a joyous holiday season and thank them for
their service in 2018. Teachers, counselors, librar-
ians, coaches, bus drivers, secretaries, custodians,
food services, aids, school nurses, administrators;
it literally takes an army of dedicated individuals
to lead the children of Parker County to education
greatness. We know there’s many times you’ve
reached in your own pockets to help a student,
that you spend hours outside the classroom prepar-
ing for amazing days and we thank you for that
dedication. Be sure to enjoy your holiday breaks
and take some time for you and your families –
you deserve it!
Community Partners – Linking a Need to
a Blessing
The list of not-for-profit agencies in Parker
County that provide resources essential to
many lives, is indeed long. We are a “Can-Do-
Community”, when there is a need, it’s amazing to
see how many organizations raise their hands to
help. Thank you to all of the advocates who stand
in unity, throughout Parker County, in their service
to others. Of course, every service organization
relies on the generosity of its donors. Thank you to
all who have made donations of all sizes; there is
no such thing as a small blessing! We are revered
by your commitment and compassion.
